My RPG Go Bag

I have an RPG go bag, we'll, a go box actually. Have i ever used everything in it? No, but if I needed to run a game, this has anything I might need to set one up quickly. Mostly it gets used for conventions, none of this grts taken to regular campaigns. I've packed it with stuff I use most often up top and prep stuff in the bottom.

The Box
I've got an extra Hexcrawl toolbox box I use to contain it all. It's sturdy, has a handle, and is bright yellow. The only issue I have with it is the lid doesn't stay on at all, thus the game band.

The Guts
Notebook
This is a dry erase notebook with a Staedtler non permanent fine pen. It has enough space for a one-shot and even for a couple of sessions. Staedtler is my preferred pen for dry erase.

Dry Erase Grid
This is Noteboard. I love this. It's avaliable again. Basically it's 5x7 (15"x35") grid of lamenated 3x5 cards that fold up the size of a stack of them. It has both grid and hexes on one side and is blank on the other. I've used this for my prep or notes at times, unfolding only what I need to use. I have 2 of these and have rarely needed more for a full map.

A Good Idea
Decuma is a party building game that can be used for creating bonds and history between characters. I should pull it out at a con someday.

Rules
Into the Odd is my go to ruleset. The character creation fits in a single page folded zine, character sheets on 5x7 index cards (or less) and rules summary on a book mark, or printed on a single side of a 5x7 card. Quick, easy to learn, and handles whatever I throw at it. I can always pull the PDF up on my phone and run The Iron Coral.

Mobs and Looy

&&&&&&&& Treasure and Monsters & by Luke Gearing. Get anything you see with his name on it, one of the best OSR/NSR authors around.

Cards
Deck of Corpses 1 & 2, an I loot the body card set for Mark Börg. Gamemaster's Apprentice fantasy deck, a deck of random content; names, traits, senses and they even have dice. Lastly, dry erase blank cards. I like dry erase. I have some dry erase tokens i should throw in here.

Accessories
Staedtler mediums for mapping and a set of pretty dice from a mediocre kickstarter.

Zines
Malloy's Almanac, full of almanac things like weather, moon phases, encounters, and names. Campaign Notebook has a cool random dungeon table of pictures of rooms as well as a few other tables and more names.

Grab these two. d30 sandbox can create a full sandbox with just the humble d30, and Perilious Wilds is similar adding a cool dungeon generation system and, yes, names.

Gig Economy is full of NPCs (with names!) for hire. d6666 All Purpose Miens uses Troikia's mein stat, a what are they doing table, and turns it up to 1111.

Giveaways!
Know Your Dice! by Ray Otis, a folding zine for new comers to teach dice shapes and names that also has useful dice probabilities for common dice.

Packed Up
I also have an All Rolled Up for my dice and other accoutrements, a bag of pencils, and a plano case full of loaner dice I carry around as well. But if SHTF, i can grab this and run a game!

What's in your Referee kit? I love seeing what others have packed up to carry around.
